Mark Miller's practice emphasizes real property, trusts and estates, and business law. Mark also counsels clients on wealth management, including development of business succession and exit strategies. His clients include individuals, businesses and nonprofits in California and many other states.
Mark's real estate expertise includes sale and purchase transactions, financing, leasing, title matters, easements and property damage matters. He has been featured in North Bay Business Journal articles on real estate and estate taxation.
Mark assists clients in forming and operating business entities such as corporations, limited liability companies, and partnerships. As these businesses grow, he works with clients on financing, contracts, employment matters, and other operational issues. He acts as general counsel to companies in the wine industry and real estate development. He also advises on insurance coverage and claims.
In 1984, Mark attended Hong Kong University and thereafter was the CEO of an international trading company based in San Francisco, California. He brings this experience to bear when counseling clients on a wide variety of business and contractual issues.
A long-standing member of the California State Bar's Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law Section, Mark has written extensively on the subject. His article, "Maximize Your Retirement Nest Egg By Estate Planning," was published in the North Bay Business Journal. In 2001, Mark appeared on the cover of Sonoma Business Magazine's issue on preventing financial elder abuse. He prepares trusts, wills, powers of attorney, family LLCs, and he assists clients with probate and trust administration.
Mark is active in the local community. He currently serves as a board member for The Children's Village and as a volunteer for the Santa Rosa City Schools. Past leadership positions include the American Heart Association and the Active 20/30 Club.
