Mary practices insurance coverage law and litigation. Mary represents a wide variety of clients including property owners, resort/hotel owners, casinos, business owners, developers, contractors, small and large corporations, municipalities, auto dealerships, and lumber companies in insurance matters.
Mary represents policyholders in complex property and liability insurance coverage matters and bad faith actions. Mary litigates and advises clients on insurance disputes concerning property losses, construction defects, environmental contamination, business losses, bodily injury, property damage, personal and advertising injury, crime and employee dishonesty coverage, employment- related claims, and consumer fraud. In addition to litigation, Mary provides advice and opinions to clients and other attorneys concerning insurance coverage issues. She advises policyholders in connection with the placement of coverage and negotiation of policy terms. She also drafts and negotiates contract provisions relating to insurance.
She has been named a "Super Lawyer" for Northern California by Northern California Super Lawyers® magazine in the area of insurance coverage in 2005 and 2006.

Advise municipalities in connection with insurance coverage issues related to environmental contamination suits.
Represent resort owner in litigation for the recovery of first-party property coverage for damage from construction defects and advised owner concerning maximizing insurance recoveries from liability insurers for general contractor and subcontractors.
Represent winery in connection with property and liability insurance claims arising from contaminated wine.
